RESERVATIONS POLICY:

In order to reserve your space you must pay in advance for the discounted "pre-paid" price (usually at least 24-48 hours before the event, if not more). Though walk-ins are welcome, we strongly recommend reserving your spot in advance, since workshops fill up quickly. (Limit 24 students)

PAYMENT ONLINE:

The easiest and safest way to pay is online with a credit card by selecting the links for each workshop. YogaSpace uses MindBody Online to process all of our online purchases so that your sensitive financial information will be kept private and safe.

PAYMENT AT THE STUDIO:

If you prefer to pay in person, over the phone or by mail, you can do one of the following:

1) Pay in person at the studio at least 24 hrs before the event.

2) Call us at 203-730-YOGA to give credit card info over the phone.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Once you have reserved your space in a workshop, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance.

If you cancel less than 24 hours from the start time of a workshop, no credit will be given, as we have likely turned away other students and may not be able to fill your spot. Partial account credit may be given at manager's discretion.

If we need to cancel an event due to weather or other unfroseen circumstances, we usually do so at least 24 hours in advance and will notify you by email or phone. Full refunds or full account credit will be given if we cancel.

Exploring Meditation & Mindfulness

Learn to free your mind from the many distractions that cause stress and worry!

Join conscious music singer-songwriter and Yoga Nidra teacher, Frannie Faith, for an exploration of meditation & mindfulness techniques, and the power that sound has to heal and bring us to a peaceful state of being.

This five class series will teach the beginner meditator how to meditate and will also support the practice of more experienced meditators. The workshop will cover breathwork for stress reduction, various forms of meditation, sharing, question/answer and songs for healing.

The Mayo Clinic staff says" Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. This process results in enhanced physical and emotional well being." Research suggests meditation may help conditions such as high blood pressure, anxiety disorders, pain, sleep problems, allergies, cancer, depression and too many to list.

Through meditation, learn how to build skills to manage your stress and anxiety, increase self awareness, focus on the present moment and reduce negative emotions.

Sacred Music & Chanting with Sita's Light

Kirtan is a beautiful opportunity for communities to come together to share voices, dance and meditation through sound.

Please join us for an evening of sacred music and chanting with Sita's Light, led by Miriam Zenis ("Sita"), Sivananda yoga teacher, former YogaSpace owner, and sacred music songstress. Miriam is joined by Fumio on tablas and Suan on flute, keyboards and backing vocals for a rich alchemy of rhythm and melody.

No chanting or singing experience necessary ~ just a willingness to open your heart and be moved by the Divine within us all!

A two and a half hour Kundalini Yoga experience offered in the ambrosial hours of 5:30am – 8:00am on the first Saturday morning of each month. The practice is comprised yogic prayer Kundalini Yoga and chanting mantras.

Restorative Yoga ~ Unwind From the Grind

Restorative Yoga is a passive practice, which just about anyone can do. You don't need to be particularly athletic, fit or flexible. We'll use props (pillows, blankets, straps, etc.) to support your body so you can rest, stretch your muscles; lower your heart rate and blood pressure; calm your nervous system, and experience a peaceful state of deep relaxation. Just wear super comfy layers and bring a mat if you have one. We have everything else you'll need. The perfect antidote to anxiety and overwhelm.

Crystal Cymbalogy ~ Concert & Sound Healing

Each concert event is unique in that they will connect to the energies and guides present and channel sound for each person who attends. Cynthia has been channeling sound and energy for 20 years in her private healing practice. She has been connected to spirit guides from her early teens and has been writing poetry from that time to the present. Both Cynthia and Rick are attuned Reiki Masters and have backgrounds as professional musicians. Their goal in giving these concerts is to expose the truth and beauty of who each person truly is by aligning them to their highest vibration.

A Kundalini Yoga and Kabbalah Workshop

Join Neurosomatic Therapist, Janet Schroeder, for an in-depth analysis of Mountain Pose as a vehicle for exploring how common postural distortions (such as flat feet, internally rotating shoulders and pelvic rotation) can create chronic pain, and also how they can be alleviated through yoga practice.

This workshop is appropriate for both yoga teachers and curious students who want to learn more about the exercise physiology that may be effecting their yoga practice, particularly in areas of chronic pain.

We'll unlock the mystery as to why asana feels different on each side of your body and address ways to be sure you remain injury-free in your poses!
