RESERVATIONS POLICY:

In order to reserve your space you must pay in advance for the discounted "pre-paid" price (usually at least 24-48 hours before the event, if not more). Though walk-ins are welcome, we strongly recommend reserving your spot in advance, since workshops fill up quickly. (Limit 24 students)

PAYMENT ONLINE:

The easiest and safest way to pay is online with a credit card by selecting the links for each workshop. YogaSpace uses MindBody Online to process all of our online purchases so that your sensitive financial information will be kept private and safe.

PAYMENT AT THE STUDIO:

If you prefer to pay in person, over the phone or by mail, you can do one of the following:

1) Pay in person at the studio at least 24 hrs before the event.

2) Call us at 203-730-YOGA to give credit card info over the phone.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Once you have reserved your space in a workshop, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance.

If you cancel less than 24 hours from the start time of a workshop, no credit will be given, as we have likely turned away other students and may not be able to fill your spot. Partial account credit may be given at manager's discretion.

If we need to cancel an event due to weather or other unfroseen circumstances, we usually do so at least 24 hours in advance and will notify you by email or phone. Full refunds or full account credit will be given if we cancel.

Kundalini Sadhana

A two and a half hour Kundalini Yoga experience offered in the ambrosial hours of 5:30am – 8:00am on the first Saturday morning of each month. The practice is comprised yogic prayer Kundalini Yoga and chanting mantras.

The practice is designed to free your energy, release blocks and awaken you to your destiny! Susan makes Kundalini Yoga accessible for everyone. No prior experience necessary.

Restorative Yoga ~ Unwind From the Grind

Restorative Yoga is a passive practice, which just about anyone can do. You don't need to be particularly athletic, fit or flexible. We'll use props (pillows, blankets, straps, etc.) to support your body so you can rest, stretch your muscles; lower your heart rate and blood pressure; calm your nervous system, and experience a peaceful state of deep relaxation. Just wear super comfy layers and bring a mat if you have one. We have everything else you'll need. The perfect antidote to anxiety and overwhelm.

Exploring Meditation & Mindfulness

Learn to free your mind from the many distractions that cause stress and worry!

Join conscious music singer-songwriter and Yoga Nidra teacher, Frannie Faith, for an exploration of meditation & mindfulness techniques, and the power that sound has to heal and bring us to a peaceful state of being.

This five class series will teach the beginner meditator how to meditate and will also support the practice of more experienced meditators. The workshop will cover breathwork for stress reduction, various forms of meditation, sharing, question/answer and songs for healing.

The Mayo Clinic staff says" Meditation is considered a type of mind-body complementary medicine. This process results in enhanced physical and emotional well being." Research suggests meditation may help conditions such as high blood pressure, anxiety disorders, pain, sleep problems, allergies, cancer, depression and too many to list.

Through meditation, learn how to build skills to manage your stress and anxiety, increase self awareness, focus on the present moment and reduce negative emotions.

Yoga Nidra ~ The Art of Deep Relaxation

Natural Techniques to Manage Your Mood

In this workshop you will learn natural techniques to help manage your mood, relieve stress & anxiety and better manage whatever is preventing you from realizing optimum mental health. By utilizing easy-to-learn tools such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), yoga, mindful movement, sound and Pranayam (breathing techniques), you can become empowered to return to a more balanced and positive emotional state.

Cheryl Aiello is a board certified holistic health practitioner, long time yoga therapist and wellness specialist, who creates a safe and compassionate space to allow each participant to develop a personal practice of self healing.

Kirtan is a beautiful opportunity for communities to come together to share voices, dance and meditation through sound.

Please join us for an evening of sacred music and chanting with Sita's Light, led by Miriam Zenis ("Sita"), Sivananda yoga teacher, former YogaSpace owner, and sacred music songstress. Miriam is joined by Fumio on tablas and Suan on flute, keyboards and backing vocals for a rich alchemy of rhythm and melody.

No chanting or singing experience necessary ~ just a willingness to open your heart and be moved by the Divine within us all!

For Sita Miriam, Suan and Fumio it all began at YogaSpace in late 2007 when they released their first CD. Since then, there has been no turning back.
