In order to reserve your space you must pay in advance for the discounted "pre-paid" price (usually at least 24-48 hours before the event, if not more). Though walk-ins are welcome, we strongly recommend reserving your spot in advance, since workshops fill up quickly. (Limit 24 students)


The easiest and safest way to pay is online with a credit card by selecting the links for each workshop. YogaSpace uses MindBody Online to process all of our online purchases so that your sensitive financial information will be kept private and safe.


If you prefer to pay in person, over the phone or by mail, you can do one of the following:

1) Pay in person at the studio at least 24 hrs before the event.

2) Call us at 203-730-YOGA to give credit card info over the phone.


Once you have reserved your space in a workshop, you can cancel for a full refund up to 24 hours in advance.

If you cancel less than 24 hours from the start time of a workshop, no credit will be given, as we have likely turned away other students and may not be able to fill your spot. Partial account credit may be given at manager's discretion.

If we need to cancel an event due to weather or other unfroseen circumstances, we usually do so at least 24 hours in advance and will notify you by email or phone. Full refunds or full account credit will be given if we cancel.

Join us for this Thursday night series which combines slow and easy mindful movement with a seated 30 minutes of mindfulness meditation practice. (Chairs and cushions and props available for your comfort).

We’ll also have time for discussion and questions so you can start bringing this practice into your daily life. You'll learn techniques to help calm the nerves, quiet the mind and soothe the body so that you can find the true gift of presence rather than reactivity in your meditation practice.

The Art of Meditation:
Turning Poison Into Nectar

This 6 week meditation and wisdom course we’ll look at the qualities in ourselves that cause our unconscious suffering, and also at the “golden shadow”—the gifts we hide from ourselves.

Working with meditation, contemplative practices, mantra, myth and self-inquiry we’ll look at both the dark shadow and golden shadow are hidden in ourselves. We will use essential tantric methodology around transforming negative emotions into liberating energy and finding the gifts in shadow energies.

Introduction to Auyurveda

Join Agni Chapska for an introduction to Ayurveda, yoga's sister science and natural approach to health. You'll learn basic principals of Ayurveda, including identifying your primal constitutional state (dosha), exploring your current state of being (vikriti) and learning how to support your doshas for optimal health and well being.

You'll learn about the Ayurvedic understanding of universal substances, particularly the five great elements of earth, water, fire, air and ether, and how we can avoid disease by attending to the balance of elements within us.

The workshop consists of 2 hour lecture and 1 hour restorative yoga practice, focused on balancing VATA dosha (the constitution that is most present in nature from mid autumn through mid winter. Learning to care for this constitution will allow us to experience a healthy and happy season.

Gloria will lead you in a profound Restorative Yoga practice, supported by props (pillows, blankets, straps, etc.) to support your body so you can rest, stretch your muscles; lower your heart rate and blood pressure; calm your nervous system, and experience a peaceful state of deep relaxation.

Restorative Yoga ~ Unwind From The Grind

Looking to develop your intuition or find focus in your meditations? Tarot is a wisdom tradition that teaches us how to make the most of our journey through life. Used for fortune telling, meditation, and spiritual growth, tarot reading is a skill that can be learned by anyone.

In this workshop, we will learn about the archetypal Fool’s journey through the Major Arcana cards, as well as the daily lessons learned in the Minor Arcana. We will also develop a deeper understanding of the basic personality archetypes, or Court Cards, that help us to know ourselves and even strangers with more empathy and insight. You will leave with a basic knowledge of the most important symbols used in the Rider-Waite tarot, including the meaning of numbers, suits, and elements.

All students will also learn and practice different tarot spreads for the purposes of decision-making, fortune telling, and contemplation. Absolute beginners and those who are just curious are welcome to attend.

We will be using the Rider-Waite tarot, which can be purchased on the day of the workshop or you may bring your own deck.

• Exploring The Breathing Body In Yoga
What is breathing? Based on his deceptively simple yet powerful definition – shape change in the cavities – Leslie will lead participants into a progressively deeper understanding of the vital forces at work in the human breathing mechanism during yoga practice. The primary focus of the lecture and movement explorations will be the basic anatomy of breathing and its relationship to the mechanics of yoga practice. The good news about a breath-centered practice of yoga is that the moment you first learned to coordinate breath and body movement, you were immediately, implicitly learning such essential elements of practice as bandhas, ujjayi and drishti. From this perspective, deepening your yoga consists of nothing more than discovering the wisdom your body already knows about creating support and spaciousness through practice.

• Twist, Don’t Break – Twisting Poses, From the Inside Out
Axial rotation is the anatomical term for twisting of the spine. Understanding the structural core of twisting postures, known in yoga as “Parivritti,” reveals the critical role that breathing plays in safely accomplishing these complex movements. In this practice-oriented workshop, Leslie will review the key structures of the spine and breathing mechanism that can contribute to (or sometimes interfere with) the twisting actions of the body. The positions of sitting, standing and supine will be explored, as well as the role of binding and twisting’s effects on our physiology.

• The Warrior Series – A Hands-Free Vinyasa Practice
This practice-heavy workshop will lead you through a specially-designed vinyasa that strongly works the legs and moves the spine in all possible directions, all without putting any body weight on your hands. When it’s over, your feet and legs will know they’ve done some strong work, but your breath and spine will thank them for their support. One of Leslie’s most frequently-requested workshops, this practice was featured in Yoga Journal as well as an instructional DVD, “Breath Centered Yoga with Leslie Kaminoff.”
