YogaSpace is home to many of us – teachers, students, volunteers – we walk in and we feel it, that we're home.
YogaSpace exists for you, our students, with whom we build and maintain a close and supportive community. Creating a schedule of classes that offer a balanced selection of styles of yoga and exceptional certified teachers is where we start, lovingly continuing with a practice that is unique to each student, wherever you are on your journey. Adaptations and modifications are available as each student honors their own individual practice within a community setting.
The beautiful space that is YogaSpace is one reason you too will feel at home – the sacred physical area that was created with love, creativity, comfort and a sense of playful reverence. Light filled, spacious and deeply connected to earth and sky, you will find everything you need here. Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets and helpful teachers to guide you on your own journey.
The people who create the experience at YogaSpace is another reason. From the very beginning, our founder, Natasha Raymond, brought into our community with a commitment to peace. And love. Compassion. And yes, playfulness!
There have been a beautiful group of people through the 16 years that YogaSpace has existed that have guided Yogaspace and lent their personal spiritual and physical connections to the studio. For many years YogaSpace has been lovingly led by Gloria Owens and Saeeda Quaisar. They have been recently been joined by Rob Farella who has already brought his own sensibility with new and interesting workshop offerings.
As with any living being, change occurs. At YogaSpace, it's welcome and showing itself in a new website and a new blog. Our blog, is our newest way to communicate, "YogaSpace – Grace, On & Off the Mat"- is another way to stay in touch and gently remind you that you're thought about in between your visits to the studio.
We all create YogaSpace. Every living being who shows up for class and brings their own unique energy leaves a spiritual essence behind. Sometimes walking into the studio, you can see it – it's glowing. It's alive. Because of Grace – something each one of us who enters brings here, YogaSpace has an energy that is deep and real and palpable. Whether you come to class tired, excited, quiet or exuberant – you add to the authenticity and strength of the family at YogaSpace.
Our new blog, YogaSpace – Grace, On & Off the Mat has been created for and about you. It's a place where we extend the physical aspect of being at YogaSpace. We will share news, thoughts from our teachers and students and sevas, yoga history and philosophy, discuss poses (asanas) and more. We would like to hear from you what you would like to know more about – and then we will write about it. Once a week, you will hear from us. Our intention is to be inspiring and uplifting. To bring a smile to your breath.
To celebrate our new venture, YogaSpace – Grace, On & Off the Matt, bring a friend to class (who has not been to YogaSpace) for FREE before the end of April when you mention the blog!
Join us as we grow with each and every heartbeat and breath.
At YogaSpace, our home is your home. Our mission, with this blog is to remind you that we are here, for you.
Welcome home.
